"Widen Island began as a place for me to find talented lofi artists, ask for tips, do interviews, and explore production tricks," says Edwin. "Over time, it grew into a full-fledged lofi music label,signing artists, collaborating on tracks, releasing seasonal cassette compilations, running creative competitions, and welcoming everyone in a productive, chill, and jazzy environment."
Originally launched as Widen Island Records, the label initially released tracks under its own name "Widen Island". Today, the rebranded Widen Island label reflects its evolution as a modern indie label. With releases spanning dusty lofi beats, jazzy lofi beats, Chillhop, bedroom pop, and boom bap beats, Widen Island has built a growing catalog of standout tracks from producers worldwide.
